Fraud Protection

• Write in black ink
• Keep checks secure
  
• Don't accept checks from people you don't know
  
• Drop checks off at the post office instead of putting them in a mailbox
  
• Shred or rip up voided checks into small pieces
  
• Report suspected fraud to your bank, relevant authorities and the Better Business Bureau

• Don't leave mail in the mailbox overnight
• Heading out of town? Have mail held at the post office.
  
• Sign up online for USPS daily email notifications of incoming mail and packages.
  
• Contact the sender if you don't get what you should be receiving
  
• Use security envelopes to conceal the contents of your mail.
  
• Use the letter slots at the post office to send mail.
